1st Shift Sheet Metal Fabricator
About The Position
This role involves performing a wide variety of sheet metal operations including shearing, forming, punching, deburring, and spot welding to meet quality standards. The fabricator will plan their sequence of activities based on sketches, blueprints, process sheets, established procedures, schedules, and general discussions. Responsibilities include performing complex layouts, setups, and inspections, initiating corrective actions for complex problems with templates and tooling, and making necessary adjustments. The role also includes performing own material handling, following good housekeeping and safety practices, assisting and advising others, and performing other miscellaneous duties as required. The employee is expected to provide their own basic tools to efficiently perform the job.
Requirements
- Ability to perform sheet metal operations including shearing, forming, punching, deburring, and spot welding.
- Ability to read and interpret sketches, blueprints, and process sheets.
- Ability to perform complex layouts, setups, and inspections.
- Ability to initiate corrective action and make adjustments to templates and tooling.
- Ability to perform material handling.
- Knowledge of good housekeeping and safety practices.
- Provide own basic tools.
