About The Position

As a Certified Nursing Assistant at Wegman Cottages, you will provide high-quality, individualized resident care in collaboration with the nursing team. Taking initiative while assisting with and maintaining patient care is critical to the success of the team. This part-time position is in Long Term Care and is scheduled for 24 hours per week, from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., with an every-other-weekend requirement. The position is located in Rochester, New York.

Requirements

• Completion of a New York State-approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be a Registered Certified Nurse Aide in New York State.
• CNA certification from the New York State Office of Professions.
• Valid New York State driver's license issued by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.
• Physical requirements described for drive-clinical roles include frequent driving; repeatedly entering and exiting vehicles; occasional lifting and carrying of equipment weighing up to 100 pounds or more; fine and gross motor control, firm grasping, and heightened visual and auditory awareness; and readiness to provide care in potentially unpredictable environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist residents with activities specified in individualized care plans.
• Transport residents to and from activities as needed and provide leisure activities as needed.
• Perform evaluations and report findings.
• Provide emotional support to residents and their families.
• Help maintain a clean and safe resident environment.
• Support families and direct them to appropriate professional staff.
• Respond to resident requests in a timely manner.
• Receive and provide reports to team members and team leaders.
