About The Position

As a Certified Nursing Assistant at Wegman Cottages in Long Term Care, you will provide high-quality, individualized resident care in collaboration with the nursing team. The role calls for taking initiative while assisting with and maintaining resident care. The schedule is 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., 37.5 hours per week, with an every-other-weekend requirement.

Requirements

• Completion of a New York State-approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Registered Certified Nurse Aide in New York State.
• NYS Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
• Valid New York State driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist residents with activities identified in their individualized care plans.
• Transport residents to and from activities as needed and provide leisure activities as needed.
• Evaluate and report on resident care.
• Provide residents and families with emotional support.
• Help maintain a clean and safe resident environment.
• Support families and direct them to appropriate professional staff.
• Respond to resident requests in a timely manner.
• Receive and give reports to team members and team leaders.
