About The Position
Our Prevention Team provides child assault prevention education to DuPage County students in grades K-8 and sexual assault awareness in grades 9-12 throughout the school year. Volunteers work with a team to present Sexual Violence Prevention Programs to school personnel and designated students. Volunteers also assist in providing professional training and public education for other service providers on issues of sexual violence. Our policy is to only have comprehensively trained individuals, work directly with students and survivors.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Requires mobile phone.
- Personal vehicle and valid driver’s license required.
- One-year commitment required with a one to two day a week availability.
- Must have daytime availability.
- Must provide documented proof of full COVID-19 vaccination prior to start date.
- Complete a Mandatory 40+ hour Crisis Intervention Training.
- Complete a 24-hour prevention training.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
