Sewing Machine Operator
About The Position
Mozaic is hiring a Sewing Machine Operator for its production team. The role operates commercial sewing machines to create textile products and includes sewing, trimming, folding, tagging, bagging, and preparing finished products for shipment. The operator works alongside a supportive, fast-paced team and may cross-train in different areas of production to develop additional skills. The position is based at 1885 Danaren Drive, Waterloo, NY 13165, and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., for 37.5 hours per week. Pay is $16.00–$16.50. Mozaic is a not-for-profit organization in the Finger Lakes Region that provides services and residential facilities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and advocates for more than 2,000 individuals in the area.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.
