About The Position

Leaders Furniture is seeking an industrial Sewing Machine Operator for its cushion shop finishing team. The role involves sewing cut patterns according to established procedures and quality standards while supporting the team’s production schedule and customer expectations. Pay increases with production, including an hourly incentive based on production metrics. The schedule is four days per week, 10 hours per day.

Requirements

• Be proactive in meeting the production schedule and customer quality expectations.
• Positive, hard-working, self-motivated approach.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of prolonged seated work, frequent lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds, and repetitive motion.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience working in a high-volume sewing position is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Receive and follow direction from the Sewing and Finishing Team Supervisor.
• Operate various sewing machines.
• Properly use and maintain the sewing machine.
• Sew fabric for cushions and pillows according to cut patterns and established quality standards.
• Maintain workflow according to order dates.
• Acknowledge and prioritize rush orders.
• Inspect units and finished units for flaws or structural defects.
• Comply with safety regulations and keep the workstation neat, clean, and orderly.
