About The Position

Leaders Furniture is seeking an industrial Sewing Machine Operator for its cushion shop finishing team. The operator sews cut patterns and follows established procedures to support efficient team operations and meet production schedules and customer quality expectations. Pay includes an hourly rate with additional incentives based on production metrics. The schedule is four days per week, 10 hours per day.

Requirements

• Positive, hard-working, proactive, and self-motivated approach to meeting production schedules and customer quality expectations.
• Ability to sew fabric for cushions and pillows according to cut patterns and established quality standards.
• Ability to operate, use, and maintain sewing machines.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience working in a high-volume sewing position is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Receive and follow direction from the Sewing and Finishing Team Supervisor.
• Operate various sewing machines.
• Properly use and maintain the sewing machine.
• Sew fabric for cushions and pillows according to cut patterns and established quality standards.
• Maintain workflow according to order dates and acknowledge and prioritize rush orders.
• Inspect units and finished units for flaws or structural defects.
• Comply with safety regulations and keep the workstation neat, clean, and orderly.
