About The Position

The Sewing Machine Operator is an integral part of Spiritus Systems’ manufacturing production line. The operator receives training in the technical knowledge needed to perform sewing department work and communicate related technical information. This is a full-time, on-site position in Aberdeen, North Carolina, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

May be required to work overtime and/or extended hours depending on business needs.
Able to view printed and electronic text and graphics.
Able to access information on computers, tablets, and other electronics.
Able to handle and manipulate items with hands and/or fingers for up to and including 8 hours.
Physical requirements may include sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and kneeling for up to and including 8 hours.
Full-time, on-site position.

Nice To Haves

Ability to use relevant software, including but not limited to ADP, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or Microsoft Dynamics systems.

Responsibilities

Support, report to, and take direction from the Sewing Manager.
Perform basic to advanced sewing functions within efficiency standards to assemble textile materials into finished products.
Maintain quality control standards and take appropriate action to ensure accuracy and precision.
Read and interpret technical packets, written processes, and standard operating procedures, and follow instructions.
Identify sewing machine components and how they work.
Use various sewing machines, fixtures, and tooling to perform sewing functions proficiently.
Perform basic machine troubleshooting and maintenance, and identify when external service is needed.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace according to company standards.
Perform other duties reasonably related to the Company’s business when requested by the executive team.
