Requirements

  • English and Tigrinya speaking
  • Post-secondary certificate
  • Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments, information and orientation, provide referrals, and individualized settlement planning.
  • Support newcomers with housing, employment, healthcare, mental health, education, and income supports.
  • Facilitate life skills development and integration supports to enhance self-sufficiency.
  • Assists in identifying clients’ needs and supports clients to independently access community resources
  • Maintain accurate OCMS records, case notes, and reporting documentation.
  • Providing basic information about the labour market, job search tools, and referrals to available programs
  • Assist clients in credential accreditation
  • Accurately enter client information and services/activity information into OCMS in a timely manner
  • Publicize MOSAIC programs/services to ethno-cultural minority communities and service providers
  • Support development of program resources and materials
  • Develop an outreach plan/strategy to proactively deliver services to newcomers, and represent MOSAIC in the community to advocate for newcomers’ needs
  • Assists in the preparation of reports as needed for the organization and funder of all program activities and services
