The Setup Technician is responsible for setting up and dismantling machines per dispatch list and defined Controlled processes. This role involves performing daily setups, startups, shut downs, pulls and end of run, and line clearance of machines, related equipment, and materials. The technician will also remove, clean, document, and store tooling, and install per process. A key part of the role is identifying and communicating gaps within Setup Instructions, Cycle Sheets, Work Instructions, and other processes. The technician will partner with Quality and/or Engineering to maintain quality and improve efficiency or processes. They will monitor presses and alarms to troubleshoot and course correct production processes that are not meeting output expectations. Maintaining an organized work area (5S) is crucial, including workstations, equipment, and walkways. The role requires reading and complying with work instructions, set up sheets, and checklists. The technician will also serve as a backup for the Material Handler and perform other duties as assigned.
