About The Position

This is a lecture and tutorial based course designed to provide an overview of the fungal kingdom and the properties of major fungal pathogens that contribute to disease in animals (including humans) and plants. This course will address the mechanisms and clinical implications of fungal infections and host defence mechanisms. Topics include virulence factors and the treatment and diagnosis of infection.

Requirements

  • Successful candidates should be near completion of their Ph.D.
  • Candidates should also have experience in teaching topics in fungal biology as described in the calendar description included in this posting.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience teaching Fungal Biology and Pathogenesis at UTSC is an asset.
