About The Position

A course on the theories and techniques of visual communication and representation in the design disciplines delivered through lectures and thematic drawing projects. The course serves as a hands-on introduction to the description of structures and environments as a means of both production and critique.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture (or related design discipline)
  • Relevant professional experience in design

Nice To Haves

  • Professional degree in architecture (Master’s or Bachelor’s)
  • Record of teaching architectural design at the undergraduate or graduate level
  • Demonstrated experience in architectural practice
  • Demonstrated design excellence
  • 1–2 page portfolio

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and delivery of course material
  • Managing digital teaching materials
  • Supervision of teaching assistants
  • Preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations
  • Marking of student work
  • Submission of grades
  • Dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions
  • Student contact hours
