The Critical Studies in Equity and Solidarity Program at New College seeks a sessional lecturer from September 1, 2026 – January 11, 2027 for the in-person course CSE345H1F – Equity and Activism in Education. This course examines contemporary issues in education and schooling from a social justice and equity perspective. It engages with a variety of theoretical frameworks including anti-homophobia education, critical pedagogy, critical race theory, decolonizing knowledges, and intersectionality. The course also includes an overview of educational activist projects. The estimated enrolment is 40 students with no TA support. The lecture is scheduled for Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The course will be delivered in an in-person format, but delivery may change as determined by the Faculty or the Department.
