About The Position

The Department of Linguistics at the College of Arts and Science is seeking applications for a Sessional Lecturer to teach LING 340.3 (02) Principles of Phonology during the 2026-2027 Regular session. This course is scheduled for Term Two, from January 6, 2027, to April 8, 2027, and will be delivered face-to-face. The class will meet on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 2:30 PM to 3:50 PM, with an expected enrollment limit of 50 students. Appointment periods include additional days for preparation and marking. Courses may be cancelled due to low enrollment. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, or a closely related area.
  • Experience teaching Linguistics in a university setting.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for off-campus courses.

Responsibilities

  • Teach LING 340.3 (02) Principles of Phonology during Term Two (January 6, 2027 – April 8, 2027).
  • Prepare and mark course materials.
  • Deliver the course as a face-to-face lecture.
  • Conduct classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 2:30 PM – 3:50 PM.
