About The Position

Ranging from the fifteenth through to the turn of the twenty-first century, students will learn about the treaties, trade agreements and alliances, as well as the informal traditions, working relationships and cultural ties that shape relations of people living within the boundaries of present-day Canada with the world. For this course, “international relations” is broadly defined, including military, political, economic, environmental and immigration policies, both official and informal.

Requirements

• Master of Arts in History or related field required.
• Mastery of the subject area as related to the course description above required.

Nice To Haves

• PhD in History preferred.
• Demonstrated evidence of superior undergraduate teaching preferred.
• Previous experience teaching a similar course is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Developing syllabus
• Course preparation
• Lecturing one two-hour classes weekly
• In-person lectures
• Marking
• Supervision of TA(s) in accordance with the CUPE 3902 Unit 1 Collective Agreement.
