About The Position

The Department of Educational Administration in the College of Education and the Gwenna Moss Centre for Teaching and Learning invite applications for an Out-of-Scope Sessional Lecturer to teach the community-based course EADM 303.3 (E12) Education in Society Structures Systems and Stakeholders during the Winter 2027 Session. The course will be offered as a Lecture with live in-person delivery in Pelican Narrows, SK. The term dates are January 1, 2027, to April 30, 2027. The actual days and times will be determined in consultation with the successful applicant, with a general schedule of Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and no evenings or weekends without special permission. The expected enrollment limit is 35. This position is located in Pelican Narrows, SK, approximately 5.5 hours northeast of Saskatoon.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree or equivalent in Education or a related discipline and/or possession of relevant teaching or professional experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to engaging with Indigenous ways of knowing.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster respectful, reciprocal learning environments.
  • Knowledge and understanding of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit culture.
  • Knowledge and understanding of indigenization and the decolonization of pedagogy.
  • Ability to uplift and support Indigenous students.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for any off-campus courses.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the community-based course EADM 303.3 (E12) Education in Society Structures Systems and Stakeholders.
  • Deliver the course as a Lecture with live in-person delivery in Pelican Narrows, SK.
  • Determine actual days/times in consultation with the program, within the Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule.
  • Engage with Indigenous ways of knowing and foster respectful, reciprocal learning environments.
  • Support Indigenous students by applying knowledge of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit culture, indigenization, and decolonization of pedagogy.
  • Undertake preparation and marking time associated with the course.
