About The Position
This position is for a Sessional Lecturer to teach BIO368H5S Medicinal Plants and Human Health at the University of Toronto Mississauga. The course involves in-person lectures and practical sessions. The lecturer will be responsible for all aspects of course delivery, including content preparation, assignment development and grading, and student interaction. The role also includes supervising Sessional Instructional Assistants or Teaching Assistants.
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in Biology or related field
- Previous teaching experience in this course or similar courses
- Academic qualifications
- Ability and suitability for the position

- Qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III
Responsibilities
- Preparation and delivery of course content
- Development, administration, and marking of assignments, tests, and exams
- Calculation and submission of grades
- Maintaining regular office hours for student contact
- Completion of all grades, including potential make-up exams
- Supervision of the day-to-day work of any Sessional Instructional Assistants or Teaching Assistants assigned to the course
