About The Position
This position is for a Sessional Lecturer to teach BIO209H5F Foundations of Human Physiology at the University of Toronto Mississauga. The course will involve in-person lectures and practical sessions. The lecturer will be responsible for all aspects of teaching the course, including content delivery, assessment, and student interaction. The role also includes supervising Sessional Instructional Assistants or Teaching Assistants.
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in Biology or related field
- Previous teaching experience in this course or similar courses
- Academic qualifications
- Ability and suitability for the position

- Qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III
Responsibilities
- Preparation and delivery of course content
- Development, administration, and marking of assignments, tests, and exams
- Calculation and submission of grades
- Maintaining regular office hours for student contact
- Completion of all grades, including potential make-up exams
- Supervision of the day-to-day work of any Sessional Instructional Assistants or Teaching Assistants assigned to the course
