About The Position

This position is for a Sessional Lecturer to teach BIO207H5S Introductory Genetics at the University of Toronto Mississauga. The role involves normal duties associated with teaching a university course, including preparation and delivery of course content, development, administration, and marking of assignments, tests, and exams. It also includes calculating and submitting grades, holding office hours, and completing all grades, which may include make-up exams. The course will have in-person lectures and practical sessions. The position also includes supervision of the day-to-day work of any Sessional Instructional Assistants or Teaching Assistants assigned to the course.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. degree in Biology or related field
  • Previous teaching experience in this course or similar courses
  • Academic qualifications
  • Ability and suitability for the position
