About The Position
This position is for a Sessional Instructional Assistant for the Introduction to Databases course (CSCC43H3). The course covers the relational data model, relational algebra, SQL querying and updating, application programming with SQL, integrity constraints, normal forms, database design, and elements of database system technology including query processing and transaction management. The estimated course enrollment is 80 students, and there are two positions available, each requiring 58 hours of work.
Requirements
- Experience with DBMSs such as MySQL is required
- Thorough familiarity with the content of the course
Responsibilities
- Conducting weekly tutorial sessions
- Holding office hours
- Grading quizzes, assignments, tests and exams
- Other duties as required by the course
