About The Position

The public history program is a flagship program of the department of history which creates high impact experiences for students who build their careers through a series of encounters with museum professionals and course work. This is part-time position. Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Requirements

  • At least three year of experience in the field of public history.
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • University teaching experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in person instruction for sixteen weeks in the public history program for the class HIST 240 Introduction to Public History.
  • Create and implement curriculum for each class of the sixteen-week semester.
  • Create, administer, score, and post grades in a timely manner for student feedback, midterms, finals, and final grades.
