About The Position

Leidos is seeking a software engineer to provide ServiceNow development support. The role involves developing and implementing an integrated enterprise IT support model to drive efficiencies in the talent space and better address strategic requirements related to learning, training compliance, foreign language development and retention, job advertisements, selection, and performance. This requires experience with AGILE project management, Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) integration and configuration, specifically ServiceNow (SN), SN application design and development, enhancement, SN security risk management, and familiarity with system certification and accreditation requirements. The Software Engineer will follow an Agile methodology for SN software development, support the implementation of Customer's identified objectives and priorities for SN features and functions, and actively contribute to the Agile methodology for software implementation. They will also support the implementation of security and development requirements, follow the Customer's document management plan, and support the implementation of SN reference architecture and documentation. The role includes designing, developing, maintaining, and documenting code for software applications, databases, and cloud services, following industry best practices, and conducting unit, functional, and user testing.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with poly to be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 12 years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with development of ServiceNow applications.
  • Experience implementing industry best practices and associated technical solutions consistent with accessibility standards.
  • Experience using agile methodology.
  • Experience using Jira.
  • Experience proposing recommendations that provide business value while supporting business goals and objectives, with an emphasis on improving User Experience/User Interface (UX/UI), reducing O&M, increasing quality and speed of delivery, transforming, and modernizing web-based application, system, and service components.
  • Experience analyzing and documenting web-based application, system, or service components and associated interfaces, including those with databases and web services/APIs to assist in decision-making regarding future development.
  • Experience interfacing with web-based databases and providing reports generation.
  • On-job experience with version control software like Github or Subversion.
  • Experience in managing Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support, using service management systems.
  • Experience developing IT support documents that include SOPs, digital IT workflows, IT knowledge base, pre and post deployment checklists, IT architectural diagrams, system security plans, and administrative processes.
  • Experience working with compliance or performance management applications.
  • ServiceNow Developer Certification.
