About The Position

The Service Position plays a critical role in supporting operations by ensuring continuous supply and efficient management of materials for production lines. This position requires operating a manual pump truck or electric pallet walkie (Pallet walkies require additional training and certification), while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a keen eye for detail. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to: Conduct pre-shift inspections of material handling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Keep production lines supplied with essential materials such as shippers, cartons, waste bins, glue, pallets, and baking ingredients. Use an RF Scanner to support the SAP system. Utilize the FIFO (First in-First out) standard for retrieving ingredients to maintain freshness and quality. Identify shift requirements and changeovers, ensuring necessary materials are available and requesting provisions when required. Wrap and scan pallets, then move them to the correct location in the warehouse or staging area. Stack products in the warehouse and prepare them for shipping, adhering to proper stacking and storage procedures.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and to read, write and communicate fluently in English.
  • Proficiency in inventory management is essential for keeping production lines supplied with essential materials and maintaining efficient operations. This includes skills in inventory tracking, an understanding of FIFO principles, and the ability to anticipate and plan for shift requirements and changeovers.
  • Familiarity with RF scanning technology and SAP systems is crucial for accurate inventory tracking and management.
  • Must be able to use or learn to use the equipment, tools, and computer systems required to perform the job.
