This role involves conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. The Service Welder II is responsible for wearing proper personal protective equipment, attending and completing required technician training, and maintaining a high awareness of applicable technical changes in the industry. This position requires maintaining a minimum set of tools for job performance, disassembling and assembling machine components to manufacturer’s specifications, and interpreting structural drawings to perform layout and assembly functions with minimal supervision. The role also includes preparing parts for welding, performing appropriate welding for repairs, working in an orderly fashion, and contributing to maintaining facility appearance and shop conditions. Documentation of repairs, monitoring job expenses, and approaching work with a positive, team-oriented attitude are also key responsibilities. Additionally, the Service Welder II will train and mentor others and perform other assigned duties.
