About The Position

Eaton’s Critical Power Solutions (CPS) Division is seeking a Service Training Specialist to join their team. This is a hybrid position based in Raleigh, NC, requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. Eaton is a leading supplier of mission-critical power distribution, static switching, and power monitoring equipment for data centers, industrial, and commercial customers. The Service Training Specialist will be an integral part of the Training team for the CPS business, responsible for developing, delivering, and facilitating instructor-led and virtual CPS Service field trainings to both internal and external customers. The service team delivers solutions to challenging energy management requirements, and Eaton is looking for individuals with a passion for leadership to drive innovation and engineering excellence.

Requirements

  • Must be actively pursuing BA with a graduation date no later than Spring 2027
  • Minimum of (4) years of experience evaluating, testing, installing, and/or maintaining industrial and commercial power systems equipment OR two (2) years technical teaching experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Seven (7) years of experience evaluating, testing, installing, or maintaining industrial and commercial power systems equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of NFPA 70E and OSHA practices as related to electrical industry and safety standards

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development, delivery, and facilitation of instructor-led and virtual CPS Service Field trainings.
  • Contributing member of the CPS training department, supporting and coordinating training events, including but not limited to, set-up, scheduling, travel, equipment, and material needs in conjunction with training coordinators and other personnel.
  • Create, maintain, and update curricula, lesson plans, and classroom reference materials.
  • Responsible for student evaluations, course evaluations, cost tracking, and continuous improvement efforts within training programs.
  • Expected to apply knowledge of safe electrical work practices as described in National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) standard 70E and OSHA 1910 Subpart S.
  • Instruct, and demonstrate expertise, around the commissioning and maintenance of Critical Power Solutions products, including but not limited to Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Power Distribution Units (PDUs).
  • Collaborate cross functionally to develop customer training programs and opportunities.
