About The Position

Ascendance Truck Centers is seeking an experienced, full-time Service Technician to provide service to customers while maintaining exceptional customer service. Duties may include cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, removal and installation of parts and attachments using proper manuals, report writing, disassembly, assembly, evaluation of parts for reuse, and reconditioning. The successful candidate has at least five years of fleet, dealership, and/or technical school experience.

Requirements

• At least five years of fleet or dealership experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• ASE certification preferred.
• CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Read job orders, observe and listen to vehicles in operation to determine malfunctions, and plan work procedures.
• Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined.
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified truck safety devices, and adjust as needed.
• Test-drive vehicles to ensure they run smoothly.
• Tag warranty parts and returns for the warranty clerk.
• Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships to increase overall customer satisfaction.
