About The Position

Ascendance Truck Centers is seeking an experienced, full-time Service Technician to provide service to customers while maintaining exceptional customer service. Duties may include cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, and removal of parts and attachments; installation using appropriate manuals; report writing; disassembly and assembly; evaluating parts for reuse; and reconditioning. The successful team member has at least one year of fleet, dealership, and/or technical school experience. The basic qualifications separately specify five years of fleet or dealership experience.

Responsibilities

Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
Read job orders and observe and listen to vehicles in operation to determine malfunctions and plan work procedures.
Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined.
Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and adjust as needed.
Test-drive vehicles to ensure that they run smoothly.
Tag all warranty parts and returns for the warranty clerk.
Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer satisfaction.
