About The Position

Mossy Auto Group is seeking experienced Service Technicians for its high-volume shop. The Service Technician inspects, services, and prepares new and used vehicles according to factory and dealership standards, policies, and specifications. The role supports customer satisfaction by completing work correctly and on time. Compensation includes base hourly and flag-rate wages of $34.00 to $45.00, plus a productivity bonus that may bring the maximum hourly rate to $56.00 based on individual performance. Employment offers are contingent on successfully passing background screening, including a criminal background check, motor vehicle record review, SSN verification, and a drug test at a certified testing facility.

Requirements

• Experienced Service Technician; strong automotive background.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Clean and valid driver's license; a clean driving record and valid California driver's license are specified.

Nice To Haves

• ASE certifications are ideal.
• OEM certifications are encouraged.
• Technical or trade school degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current technical knowledge of current models and used vehicles to communicate effectively with service and sales staff.
• Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and according to dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional service needs so customers can be informed.
• Provide an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs.
• Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
• Comply with applicable company and legal requirements governing vehicle repairs.
