About The Position

The Russ Darrow Group is seeking an Automotive Technician or Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of vehicles to ensure their safety and performance. The role involves resolving mechanical and electrical issues using advanced tools and equipment while following manufacturer and dealership standards. The company offers technician certification programs and paid ongoing training, including manufacturer and ASE certification. Candidates without experience may be trained.

Requirements

Clean, valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

Previous dealership experience.
ASE or manufacturer certifications.
Previous automotive repair experience.
Kia or other import experience.

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle maintenance and repair in accordance with dealership and manufacturer guidelines.
Diagnose, repair, and maintain engine, transmission, brake, steering, suspension, and other vehicle systems.
Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
Conduct test drives and inspections to confirm repairs have been completed properly.
Provide accurate labor and time estimates, collaborating with service advisors and parts advisors.
Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs clearly to the service advisor.
Stay current on automotive technologies and best practices through training and certifications.
Inspect and test new vehicles and document findings to ensure repairs meet mechanic and technician standards.
