About The Position

Georgia Poultry Equipment Company, a division of Hog Slat, Inc., is seeking a Service Technician to serve customers in and around Gordon County from its Marquez, Texas location. The company provides parts, equipment, and turnkey construction to the swine and poultry industries. The role serves major integrators and local poultry operations and requires customer-service skills and experience with electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

Requirements

• Ability to use tools associated with repairing electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Approved safe driving record.
• At least 2 years of prior experience repairing and replacing electrical and mechanical equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with the poultry production industry and poultry producers in the area.
• Knowledge of parts and equipment used in modern poultry production facilities.
• Prior experience with systems found in modern poultry facilities, such as ventilation, feeding and watering, and heating.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to understand their repair needs.
• Recommend suitable parts and equipment to address customers’ needs.
• Repair or replace faulty parts and equipment in poultry facilities.
• Properly bill customers for service work hours.
• Work with the in-store team to manage warranty claims.
• Participate in training opportunities offered by the company and its vendors.
