About The Position

San Antonio Chrysler Dodge is hiring reliable and motivated automotive dealership Service Technicians. The role involves maintaining, repairing, and delivering vehicles while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate has automotive technician experience, produces high-quality maintenance and repair work, and is comfortable working independently or as part of a team. Hands-on training is available, and applicants with ASE certification are highly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

At least two years of experience as an automotive technician.
ASE certification or graduation from an associate degree program in automotive maintenance and repair.
Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
Working knowledge of shop equipment, including wheel and tire equipment, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, and vehicle lifts.
Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.
Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to remain composed under stress.
Valid driver's license.

ASE certification; technicians with an ASE certificate are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.
Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive transmissions and related systems.
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor about additional service needs so customers can be informed, including estimates of the time required for additional repairs.
Perform warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
Participate in hands-on training and demonstrate a willingness to learn.
Perform other duties as assigned.
