About The Position

San Antonio Chrysler Dodge is seeking reliable and motivated automotive dealership Service Technicians to maintain, repair, and deliver vehicles while providing exceptional customer service. The role is suited to someone with automotive technician experience and high-quality vehicle maintenance and repair experience who is confident working independently or as part of a team. Technicians with ASE certification are highly encouraged to apply. Hands-on training is available, and the position also includes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

At least two years of experience as an automotive technician.
ASE certification or graduation from an associate degree program in auto maintenance and repair.
Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
Working knowledge of shop equipment, including wheel and tire equipment, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, and lift operation.
Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.
Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.
Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

ASE certification is highly encouraged.

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.
Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive transmissions and related systems.
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor about additional service needs and estimated repair times so customers can be informed.
Perform warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
Participate in hands-on training and learn as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
