About The Position

Ascendance Truck Centers is seeking an experienced, full-time second-shift Service Technician to provide service to customers while maintaining exceptional customer service. The role works from 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Duties may include cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, and removal of parts and attachments; installation using appropriate manuals; report writing; disassembly and assembly; evaluation of parts for reuse; and reconditioning. Applicants should have at least one year of fleet or dealership experience, or technical school experience. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Nice To Haves

ASE certification preferred.
CDL preferred.
Technical school experience.

Responsibilities

Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
Read job orders, observe and listen to vehicles in operation to determine malfunctions, and plan work procedures.
Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined.
Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified truck safety devices, and adjust them as needed.
Test-drive vehicles to ensure they run smoothly.
Tag warranty parts and returns for the warranty clerk.
Attend training classes and stay current with factory technical bulletins.
Develop and maintain positive customer relationships to increase overall customer satisfaction.
Perform cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, removal and installation of parts and attachments, report writing, disassembly, assembly, parts-reuse evaluation, and reconditioning as needed.
