About The Position

Ascendance Truck Centers is hiring an experienced, full-time second-shift Service Technician to provide service to customers while maintaining exceptional customer service. The position works from 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Duties may include cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, and removal of parts and attachments; installation using proper manuals; report writing; disassembly and assembly; evaluation of parts for reuse; and reconditioning. The successful candidate has at least one year of fleet, dealership, and/or technical school experience. Requirements

At least one year of fleet or dealership experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Fleet, dealership, and/or technical school experience is stated as experience for a successful team member.

Nice To Haves

ASE certification preferred.
CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
Read job orders and observe and listen to vehicles in operation to determine malfunctions and plan work procedures.
Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined.
Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and adjust them as needed.
Test-drive vehicles to ensure they run smoothly.
Tag all warranty parts and returns for the warranty clerk.
Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer satisfaction.
Perform duties that may include cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, removal of parts and attachments, installation using proper manuals, report writing, disassembly, assembly, parts reuse evaluation, and reconditioning.
