Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License without any major infractions within 3 years.
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid DOT Medical Certification.
  • Must be insurable and meet our insurance carrier requirements.
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver equipment that may weigh up to 100 lbs occasionally.
  • Must be able to work afternoons, rotating weekends, and on-call rotation.
  • Steel Toe shoes are a requirement for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a 16 ft box truck daily; keep delivery truck stocked and organized.
  • Contact patients by telephone to schedule deliveries and schedule routes accordingly to meet patient needs in a timely fashion when required.
  • Communicate in a professional manner with the customer, clients, and patients effectively and efficiently while being empathetic and aware of their needs.
  • Manage assigned routes timely to meet specific delivery time frames.
  • Assemble medical equipment properly and educate and train caregivers and/or patients on safe equipment use. Equipment may include: hospital beds; respiratory equipment; ambulatory aids; wheelchairs; support surfaces; and additional miscellaneous equipment
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and submitted daily.
  • Ability to use electronic data entry devices.
  • Install, pickup, and service basic DME equipment.
  • Maintain professional appearance; adhere to company dress code which includes: a clean neat uniform, steel-toed shoes, and good personal grooming and hygiene.
  • Assist with training new employees when required.
  • Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities as directed or delegated by management.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
