Senior Software Engineer - Fern
About The Position
As a Senior Software Engineer at Fern, you’ll build APIs, scale AI infrastructure, and design developer experiences that reach millions of people. This role involves scaling infrastructure to keep up with growth, working on AI systems deployed on Vercel, AWS, and Turbopuffer that must be performant, reliable, and secure under real-world load. You will also stay close to customers by debugging real production edge cases, shaping APIs based on customer feedback, and shipping improvements quickly. Collaboration across the stack is key, partnering closely with product designers and frontend engineers working in TypeScript and Next.js to define polished interfaces and slick user experiences.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to solve technical problems with customers
