About The Position

Allstate Peterbilt Group is seeking Service Technicians/Diesel Mechanics to maintain and repair diesel trucks. The company is the largest Peterbilt dealership group in the upper Midwest, has served customers for over 50 years, and offers training and opportunities for technicians at all skill levels. Technicians use industry-leading diagnostic equipment to identify system failures, determine required services, and perform repairs and failure analysis. Work includes repairs and overhauls on diesel engines and diagnostics and repairs on driveline and chassis components. Technicians follow OEM-documented procedures and policies for complex repairs and identify the parts and tools needed. Candidates must pass a drug test before beginning employment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Dependable and reliable attendance.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent bending and twisting.
• Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner.
• Must pass a drug test before beginning employment.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment to determine the root cause of system failures.
• Determine services required to repair equipment and perform failure analysis.
• Complete repairs and rebuilds or overhauls on a variety of diesel engines.
• Diagnose and repair driveline and chassis components, including clutches, fan hubs, differentials, fifth wheels, suspension, brakes, and transmissions.
• Follow OEM-documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying required parts and tools.
