About The Position

The Technician performs advanced diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer- and/or dealer-owned large agricultural equipment. The role is intended to support continued learning about the business and development of the knowledge and experience needed to work within the Hutson Service Business Model.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Ability to perform basic to advanced repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment while following Technical Manual procedures.
• Proficient knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used to repair agricultural and turf equipment.
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
• Ability to work individually or with a team.
• Detail-oriented.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Valid DOT Medical Card required for road technicians only.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree preferred.
• Forklift certification.
• Respirator certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on small agricultural and turf equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products.
• Participate in required Service EDUCATE Training programs to develop skills and knowledge.
• Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Maintain the condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
• Keep the work area clean and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Complete reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
• Account for all time on a time card and all materials used in assigned duties.
• Support management in pursuing corporate policies, plans, goals, and long-term objectives.
