About The Position

SPATCO Energy Solutions is hiring an experienced service technician to maintain and repair petroleum fueling equipment in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The technician troubleshoots and repairs gasoline dispensers and electronic point-of-sale systems, installs and programs new equipment, and performs scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance. The role involves customer communication, daily local travel, and working outdoors in varying weather. Hours vary according to workload and customer needs rather than following a typical 8-to-5 schedule. Technicians work alongside branch managers, dispatchers, other technicians, and trainees; experienced technicians may help trainees complete training and certifications. SPATCO provides updated training and certifications.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and good driving record.
At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining gasoline dispensing units, including dispenser hydraulics and submerged pump units.
Valid dispenser certification(s).
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Ability to travel locally each day.
Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units, including Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic point-of-sale systems, including VeriFone, Gilbarco, and NCR systems.
Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and make required repairs.
Perform scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance on fueling systems.
Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in non-technical terms.
Work alongside trainees from time to time to help them complete training and certifications.
