About The Position

Big Al’s is hiring bartenders and servers to provide a first-class guest experience in a fast-paced, team-based environment. Team members make drinks, take food orders, serve guests, process payments, promote Big Al’s offers, and help keep the venue clean and stocked. The role may include keg-room duties and lifting kegs with teammates, following safety and alcohol-service rules, and assisting with opening, closing, and other team needs. The position is based at the Silicon Valley location in Milpitas, California, and is listed as part-time.

Requirements

• Serving or bar experience.
• Experience using a POS system.
• Friendly, confident, face-to-face communication and people skills.
• First-class guest-service skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to handle sales transactions and upsell.
• Commitment to safety.
• Ability to obtain Food Handler and Alcohol Serving certifications.
• Availability to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Must be at least 21 years old, or at least 19 years old in Idaho.

• Experience with Toast POS.

Responsibilities

• Promote Big Al’s offers and help make each guest’s visit enjoyable.
• Run drinks and serve guests.
• Take food orders and deliver food.
• Process payments and sales transactions.
• Clean and maintain lanes, tables, and glassware.
• Stock, organize, and prepare drinks at the bar.
• Assist with keg-room duties and lift kegs with teammates when needed.
• Follow safety requirements and alcohol-service rules.
• Assist with opening, closing, and other tasks that support the team.
