About The Position

The Service Shop Foreman is responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of a service shop with a diverse product line. This role involves coordinating vehicle repairs with the Service Manager and Service Advisors, ensuring time schedules are met, and maintaining technician productivity and quality standards. The foreman is also tasked with evaluating job estimates for profitability, reviewing repair orders for accuracy, and fostering a safe, clean, and professional work environment. Supervisory duties include overseeing technicians in vehicle repair, managing shop workflow for efficiency, maintaining shop equipment and tooling, and ensuring technicians keep current with training and certifications. The position requires adherence to company policies, including EEO, Affirmative Action, and maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 3 years' related experience and/or training
Prior supervisory and/or management experience

Responsibilities

Direct day to day operation of a service ship with a diverse product line
Work with Service Manager and Service Advisors to coordinate repairs of customer vehicles
Meet time schedules and maintain productivity levels of tech
Maintain quality standards while maintaining a safe, clean environment and a professional atmosphere
Evaluates all estimates for jobs to maintain profitability
Reviews repair orders for accuracy
Maintains a safe working environment
Maintains a clean working environment
Work closely with Service Manager and Service Advisors
Supervise technicians in the repair of customer vehicles
Supervise work flow in shop to maintain efficiency
Supervise maintenance of shop equipment and tooling
