We are currently searching for a Service Shop Foreman who have a high level of integrity, are hardworking and motivated to join our team. Position Summary Position: Service Shop Foreman Classification : Full Time; Exempt Reports To: Service Manager Work Location: In person; 16785 I-45 The Woodlands, TX 77385 Acts as the frontline leader of a repair facility, supervising technicians to ensure high-quality repairs, productivity, and customer satisfaction. They diagnose complex issues, assign work, provide technical training, and conduct quality checks, acting as the bridge between technicians and service advisors Is responsible for monitoring routine service on vehicles and for assisting technicians with diagnosing and completing repairs on customer vehicles.

Requirements

  • Strong ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a team.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and computer systems.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and the ability to explain systems and repairs to others
  • Willingness and ability to maintain current product and technical knowledge
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of approved and established procedures for warranty repairs and to ensure technicians follow the policies.
  • Ability to document repairs performed on completed customer service orders
  • Knowledge of parts requirements to complete a job, and ability to communicate parts requirements via repair orders
  • Must meet dealerships requirements for employment which include background check and drug screening
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable based on driving record.
  • ASE Certification
  • Prior experience as Service Shop Foreman
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to walk, stand, sit for long periods of time
  • Must be able to get under vehicles

Responsibilities

  • Monitors repair orders to ensure they are completed on time, managing the repair process from intake to completion. Assigns repairs based on skill level, provides technical support for complex diagnostics, and trains or mentors technicians.
  • Interacts with customers to resolve complaints and assist service advisors with technical explanations.
  • Assist in diagnosing vehicle problems and interpreting work orders
  • Ensure vehicles are repaired correctly the first time
  • Diagnose vehicle problems other than those on the work order or those described by the customer
  • Estimate time of service or repair job for purposes of efficient scheduling.
  • Complies with the quality control & inspection requirements of the Service Dept.
  • Other Duties May be assigned
