About The Position

Boland is a leading HVAC and building systems provider serving the DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia region. We deliver sustainable, energy-efficient solutions to commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. The Service Sales & Client Representative is responsible for sales, processing service orders, and providing prompt, professional client service regarding Parts Department services. This role also encompasses inventory management, purchasing, and warranty administration.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent combination of experience and education required
  • 2 Years of inside technical sales or related experience.
  • Warranty experience.
  • Knowledgeable in Word & Excel
  • Detail-oriented, organized, excellent interpersonal skills, problem solver, able to multitask
  • Regularly required to use hands to operate the computer keyboard, phone, and reach with hands and arms
  • Able to drive a forklift
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25lbs & frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100lbs with assistance

Nice To Haves

  • Technical School or an Associate's degree in Electronics or HVAC preferred
  • HVAC technical knowledge, HVAC Parts experience, experience with OEM a plus.
  • HVAC Product knowledge, including tools and supplies, experience in Purchasing, Sourcing, and Order Expediting is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Answer internal client calls, identify parts, and provide reasonable technical support to internal clients in a prompt and professional manner
  • Identifies and processes internal client orders for HVAC parts, equipment, and supplies via the internet, fax, phone, and email
  • Order required parts
  • Drives sales by actively identifying internal opportunities within the organization and driving knowledge of our overall offering with our parts business.
  • Process internal service Lynx orders as needed
  • Assist with the purchasing of service products needed externally when needed/available
  • Identify product gaps internally by purchases made to external vendors. Report those product gaps to the Store Manager and/or Vice President - Supply
  • Responsible for internal client warranty administration
  • Prepares for and participates in physical inventory as scheduled
  • Maintains training in order to keep up with new products and technology
  • Flexibility to work overtime/ weekends, as required
  • Handles emergency phone and client service duties after hours as necessary
  • Assist service estimating when needed/available
  • Other duties as assigned
