About The Position

VCA Animal Hospitals is seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join their team. The Client Service Representative is considered the face of VCA, setting the tone for the practice by building and maintaining customer trust and confidence. This role is pivotal to hospital operations, ensuring the facility is neat and clean, and providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary medicine and client service. VCA Angel Animal Hospital in Flower Mound, TX, is an elite veterinary practice with cutting-edge technology, including rehabilitative services. It is primarily a small animal clinic treating canine, feline, and some small mammalian exotics. The practice is a large 5-doctor facility operating on extended business hours and includes a full luxury boarding facility capable of housing pets 24/7.   • 2+ years in client service related field
  • Open availability with scheduling
  • MUST be available to close (12pm-close) at least 2 days Monday - Friday
  • Saturdays REQUIRED 7:45am - close

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ Veterinary Hospital / Animal Healthcare experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate)
  • Preference will be given to any qualified applicant interested in evening only schedules

Responsibilities

  • Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments
  • Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
  • Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
  • Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
  • Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control)
  • Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
  • Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside
  • Accurately maintain medical & financial records
  • Willing to cross train in every department of the hospital (including animal care attendant)
