About The Position

We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our clients and patients. This role is critical to ensuring a positive client experience while supporting the medical team through accurate communication, scheduling, and administrative support. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a veterinary hospital Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist, medical receptionist, or customer service professional preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer proficiency; experience with veterinary practice management software is a plus
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and patients warmly, in person and by phone
  • Schedule appointments, check patients in and out, and manage the daily calendar
  • Answer multi-line phones, route calls appropriately, and handle client inquiries
  • Process payments, invoices, and medical records accurately
  • Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area
  • Handle sensitive situations with empathy, professionalism, and discretion
