About The Position

Valvoline Global is hiring a Service Route Representative based near Whitehall, Ohio. The role involves driving within approximately a two-hour radius around Ohio and into West Virginia to provide service and distribute batteries and related products to assigned locations, stores, or affiliates. The position is responsible for customer support, inventory and account management, meeting service and supply goals, and maintaining company records and vehicle condition. The employee is assigned a company delivery truck, laptop or tablet, and smartphone.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of sales or account management experience.
• Ability to travel frequently, including up to one week of overnight travel per month.
• Warehousing, inventory, or stock control experience.
• Delivery route experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA and DOT.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds unassisted while balancing and carrying equipment, including bending, kneeling, lifting, and loading, unloading, and delivering automobile batteries.
• Ability to withstand daily exposure to noise from traffic, cell phones, and similar sources.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Deliver new and used batteries (cores) and ancillary products.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with battery testing equipment.
• Maintain battery inventories and PAR levels, perform battery rotations when needed based on date code, process battery warranties, and manage inventory, warehouses where applicable, and assigned accounts.
• Drive within VCA and Valvoline safety parameters.
• Run data reports to assess performance and identify service or sales improvement opportunities.
• Work with service locations and store management to meet inventory and service needs, and provide daily operational support and insight.
• Meet service and supply goals and budgets set by the Territory Manager.
• Maintain required company logs, records, and reports daily.
• Maintain the appearance and condition of the company vehicle.
• Act as a backup service route manager for other regions as needed.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline.
