About The Position

VMG is seeking a motivated and results-driven Service Projects Sales Representative to support the growth of our Service Division. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, building relationships with facility owners and property managers, identifying mechanical service project opportunities, and partnering with operations teams to deliver solutions that meet our customers' needs. The ideal candidate will have experience selling commercial HVAC, plumbing, controls, or mechanical construction services and a proven ability to generate revenue through relationship-based sales.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of commercial mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, controls, or construction-related sales experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of commercial building systems and mechanical service projects.
  • Proven ability to generate new business and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling commercial HVAC service agreements, retrofit projects, building automation systems, or plumbing services.
  • Existing relationships within the commercial construction, property management, healthcare, data center, education, or government sectors.
  • Experience working with project estimators and operations teams to develop customer solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with building owners, property managers, general contractors, facility managers, and key decision-makers.
  • Identify and pursue commercial HVAC, plumbing, controls, and service project opportunities.
  • Generate leads through networking, referrals, cold calling, and existing customer relationships.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate customer needs and identify opportunities for repairs, replacements, retrofits, and upgrades.
  • Work closely with Service Operations, Estimating, and Project Management teams to develop project solutions and pricing.
  • Prepare and present proposals, scope of work documents, and customer presentations.
  • Track sales opportunities and customer interactions through CRM systems.
  • Meet or exceed established sales and revenue goals.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships throughout project execution and follow-up.
  • Attend industry events, networking functions, and association meetings to promote VMG's services.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, energy efficiency initiatives, and emerging technologies.
  • Coordinate customer handoffs to operations teams while remaining involved in maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Assist in developing strategic plans for market growth and customer retention.
