About The Position

Beztak is hiring a Service Manager to supervise the maintenance team and ensure the property, grounds, and equipment are safe, orderly, and visibly appealing. The role oversees facility operations, plans budgets and schedules for facility modifications, monitors construction and installation work, and leads the team in providing timely, high-quality repairs and customer service. It also includes hands-on maintenance work, hiring and developing team members, tracking unit replacements and repairs, and driving a company or personal vehicle when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma, related vocational training, or equivalent work experience.
• 1–2 years of supervisory experience.
• Willingness and ability to drive for work-related purposes as needed.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, including lifting, pulling, or carrying up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• HVAC knowledge.
• EPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facility expansion.
• Plan budgets and schedules for facility modifications, including cost estimates.
• Inspect construction and installation progress.
• Motivate and hold the maintenance team accountable for excellent customer service and timely, high-quality repairs.
• Perform building repairs, snow removal, groundskeeping, and other duties to maintain a clean living environment for residents.
• Hire team members and provide ongoing learning and development.
• Document replacement of appliances, carpet, vinyl, water heaters, condensers, and other items in units.
• Track systems repairs, apartment painting, refrigerator coil cleaning, and other major repairs.
• Handle urgent matters, resolve conflicts, and interact effectively with difficult customers and vendors in a high-pressure environment.
• Operate a company or personal vehicle for work-related duties as needed.
