About The Position

American Pest is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead and support a team of front-line technicians who provide essential services to customers. This role is ideal for someone who understands that good leadership involves setting the tone for the team, maintaining high standards, and helping employees grow. While pest control experience is not required, strong leadership experience and a genuine sense of responsibility for team performance and development are essential. Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a management role.
  • Firm understanding of customer service and de-escalation.
  • Ability to hold team accountable (daily check-ins, goal setting, performance management, etc.).
  • Ability to safely move about customer locations, ascend/descend stairs and ladders to service out-of-way areas, and position self to conduct service under/around furniture, equipment, and tight spaces.
  • Ability to safely move items and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all regular seasonal weather conditions.
  • Technical proficiency with computers, smart phones.
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Solid attention to detail.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule (typical hours range between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. with occasional exceptions).
  • Availability to work some weekends.
  • High school degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of 8–12 technicians serving residential and commercial customers.
  • Ensure the team operates safely, consistently, and in accordance with high standards.
  • Oversee day-to-day field operations.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and development for technicians.
  • Ensure service quality and customer experience remain strong across routes.
  • Occasionally assist with evaluating new customer needs and recommending effective pest management solutions.
  • Ensure service activities are properly documented.
  • Complete required reports and operational records accurately and on time.
