About The Position

The Service & Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs gasoline-related equipment, HVAC systems, building fixtures, cash registers, money order machines, safes, and refrigeration and fountain equipment. The role includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and documenting and communicating work status and ongoing needs. Work is performed in a moderately noisy environment with natural and fluorescent lighting. Job duties may change with or without advance notice.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience in the maintenance field.
Ability to operate equipment with manual dexterity, work in confined spaces, use a hand/electric cart, use power and hand tools, crouch and/or crawl, use a ladder, and lift up to 80 pounds.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple changing priorities and independently in a high-priority, confidential, demanding business environment.
High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, clean, and maintain gasoline-related equipment; perform preventive maintenance; and test leak detectors and product lines.
Contact service vendors to obtain materials for repairs.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Troubleshoot, repair, and reprogram cash registers, money order machines, and safes.
Document and communicate work actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to maintain continuity among work teams.
Install, repair, and service heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
Complete preventive maintenance schedules; restore and repair faulty or inoperative HVAC systems and associated equipment; repair and replace doors, plumbing, and tiles; paint; and recommend changes and new HVAC installations.
Maintain gas pumps by changing nozzles, hoses, splashguards, filters, and display boards.
Diagnose, repair, and maintain walk-in coolers, novelty freezers, refrigerators, fountains, and other equipment.
Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related duties as needed.
